In this procedure, gas and special fluids are used as agents to break down molecules into minute particles. It is a complex process, the result of which comes as equal sized pieces.

Diamond powder on the other hand, is made by crushing diamond into very tiny pieces known as microns. The process employed for getting powder from this stone is known as micronization. This is a complex industrial process that starts with breaking down diamond molecules into small pieces. By employing this process, finely crushed diamond is obtained.
