I was planning a giveaway on my birthday in June, not even dreaming that I'd reach 95 followers.  I now will advance my giveaway.  Am already working on it and let you know as soon as it' finished.

Today I had fun making over beads and other things.  Took photos which will explain what I did and you are free to use any idea.
The bottle is much nicer looking  than it came out in this photo.  It is a 1:24" size.  The glass beads are from an inexpensive necklace.  I added white fimo parts and baked them together.  If you want to make teapots out of plastic beads, you have to bake the parts separately and then glue them to the plastic beads.
The doilies are cut from a place mat. They are rather large but can be cut smaller.
The vases are Chinese glass beads.  I baked them on little white fimo circles so that they'd stand upright.

Presents from Rosa Margarita for my straw market

Today a parcel arrived from a lovely friend, Rosa Margarita of La Tapatia. I nearly melted with delight at the sight of the so many beautiful items Rosa Margarita made for me.  I expected  one or two baskets from Mexico, maybe a doily or two, I thought that maybe the Sans basket was meant for me (There was a hint), but never even in my dreams. suspected such an amount of wonderful gifts.  Thank you Rosa Margarita.  I shall cherish every single miniature you sent.

For the photos, I used three stands I already made before.  I shall at least have to make three new ones.  The Ikea conservatory will not contain this market.  Will have to think about making a new space for it.

miniature shoe collection

There were times, before computers, when there were pen pals.  For me this was a time before dollhouse miniatures.  I collected miniature shoes (some were 1:12, most were various sizes but not made for walking)

I would like to show some of my collection today and hope you like what you see. The photos do not really give the little shoes credit.
This is only a part of the collection.  It was a very exciting time, exchanging hobbies with pen pals overseas, opening parcels, sending parcels, corresponding and learning about our families.  Also, when going out shopping it was like going hunting for little shoes.  My daughters call me the Imelda Marcus of little shoes.
Today it is so much easier with emails and online overseas shopping.

Time for making some flowers

Couldn't resist making some flowers. Spring is in the air.

Also, I played with some jewelry findings and beads and made a teapot from a bead, just added fimo pieces for the handle, sprout, etc. The little cups and flower vase are beads.  I made the jewelry boxes and neckless.

New stall for the straw market

Finished this third stall.  There will be one more before the market is ready. It will contain the brooms and carpet beaters and perhaps some more mats.

I celebrated having over 70 followers by inviting all my friends who made a comment on the Sea of Galilee shells, and were interested in getting some, to email their address to me.  I sent everyone an envelope containing these shells, as souvenir from me and Israel. My next giveaway will be on my birthday, which will be on June 4th.
