Birdhouses

Years ago I bought, in one of the artesans fairs in Peru, three clay handmade birdhouses mobiles.  For some unknown reason, I kept them.  They are really very cute and I noticed they are also dollhouse size.

I'll probably give them away with some of my swaps, if anyone is interested.

I find I cannot leave comments in several blogs and can't figure out why.  I hope this problem will soon solve itself.   I click comments and get a blank page. BLOGGER HELP!!

My New Giveaway - Plants

As promised, here is my giveaway. There have been over 20,000 visits here and 299 followers. (I'm not waiting for one more follower to round up the number. He or she will be most welcome of course.)

The draw is scheduled for 12 February 2012.  The giveaway is for old and new followers only. I'll be most grateful if you announce it on your blog but this is not obligatory.

New Year's first work - Plants

It's been a very rainy, dark and cold day here.  The rains, of course, are very welcome, but I hate it when it's cold outside.  I sat down to make some plants and meditated about spring and gardens.  I had fun working and dreaming.

A few hours' work results.   The leaves are  printables  found on the net, donated by very generous people, for pesonal use only.  I painted upsidedown metal bells and used them as planters for some of the plants. As usual, I got carried away and made a few more pots for future gifts.

Next I'll be trying  to make flowers and hum Spring is in the Air.

I do not know if any of you encountered a problem of receiving in your email comments meant for other blogs.  If you know how to solve this problem please let me know.

Christmas and Hanukkah Side by Side

I changed the shelve holding the Hanukkia (Menora).  I was not pleased with what was there before. Here is one last shot before I gave the boxes away.

Not a very good photo.  These Ikea picture frames are too heavy in relation to their size.  I am not sure I'll continue to use them.  Ikea once sold wooden boxes with a sliding glass front.  Those were very good for miniature scenes.  Now, much to my regret, they don't sell them here anymore.

2011 International Christmas Swaps
